Hello again. Yes, I have been rather quiet for the past year. Listening, writing, learning and above all testing a variety of concepts and models. Today I am excited to soft launch a model which has the potential of helping change the way women do business and have access to partnerships and funding.
One of my dearest friends, and business partner, Maria Bello and I will be keynote speakers at the UN Global Leaders Summit Side Event in NY this afternoon. She is crazed promoting her latest film “Prisoners” yet in-between interviews and fashion shoots, we continue to brainstorm, kid with one another and basically anxious to get things accomplished.
Both Maria and I have worked with businesses, technology, funding, NGO’s and women’s organizations for over 20 years. We both believe in figuring out ways to create or deliver or relevant education and inspiration to allow for growth. We are lucky enough to know many women’s groups working with thousands of women all over the world so we do indeed have an idea, based on what women in the communities see as good businesses but also see a good financial return for them and for potential investors.
So when Vincent Molinari, Chairman of GATE Global Impact approached us about partnering with Gate to create GATEwomen, to drive new Impact Investment capital to businesses that are run by and/or benefit women in emerging markets that also may generate great financial return, it was a no brainer. With other partners including Gate Trips, and Gate Impact Wifi we are not only paying lip service to the idea of social impact investing for women we are also leading you to businesses in emerging markets that will be profitable and have a life changing on their communities.
I’ll be back here much more frequently. Enjoy your day and looking forward to interacting with you all again.
